HOUSTON – Harris Crime Stoppers and Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Division are looking for help finding the suspects who robbed a woman at gunpoint and then used her bank card. Investigators say that on Thursday, Sept. 24, a 50-year-old woman was putting her groceries in her car in the Kroger Parking Lot located at 9330 Jones Road in Northwest Houston when an armed man approached her. They say the suspect held the gun on the victim as he snatched her purse from the front passenger seat of her car. The thief got into a white mid-sized four door car with a loud muffler and fled the scene, say authorities. Later that day, a surveillance camera captured a woman using the victim’s bank card at an Exxon Station located near Highway 290 and Bingle Road. The armed robber is described as being in his late teens to early 20s. He was between 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. He was clean shaven with a short close cropped hair cut. Anyone with information on this is urged to call Crime Stoppers at will (713) 222-8477. You can also submit a tip online at www.crime-stoppers.org. |
