What’s Up With Our Weather

Big changes on the way for this weekend!
I know most of us are ready to kiss those triple digits goodbye! We expect to see our first fall storm this weekend. Friday, you can expect windy conditions and slightly cooler temperatures. But by Saturday and Sunday, temperatures throughout the lower deserts could drop down to the low-80’s. This system shouldn’t bring heavy rainfall; estimates right now are at .25 inches in northern Arizona but we do have a 20% chance of showers in the valley throughout the weekend. The big story the higher elevations through the state might see a coating of snow by Sunday morning.

Make sure you tune into GMAZ and GEAZ throughout the weekend for your latest forecast. Don’t forget, we count on you to be our MOJOs, so please send in your pictures and videos to weather@azfamily.com.
