Is there any connection with the shooting that happened last week in Pearland at St. Andrews apartments? This is crazy, whats going on in Pearland? Why is there all this violence?
Because the city of Pearland decided to “open” (meaning roads and all the growth) all the gates leading to Pearland and now they are coming here to commit the crimes because its an easy city and an easy get-away.
Pearland is growing too fast and no planning was done to make it happen right. All the criminal are coming in from Houston and causing crime to rise as fast as the city is growing. You used to be safe in Pearland but not any more.
Glad I moved from Pearland where I lived since 1972. Too many apartments, and still more. Too many outlets for criminals with easy marks.
The planners for Pearland’s growth saw the almighty $ sign. They forgot about the increase in crime. Once you open your doors anyone can and will walk in!
We moved away in 2000!
Pearland is beautiful and will remain beautiful. We have police and they are not going to let the bad guys destroy our community . I have lived in Pearland since 6/05 and plan on being there a very long time.
The issue in Pearland is not growth or easy access, it’s the same issue all the Houston area communities have, the criminals out number the police. Crime is out of control all over the area. It used to be an issue mainly in poor neighborhoods, but that’s changed. Pearland, like Humble, The Woodlands, Kingwood and other upscale communities are finding out that crime can happen anywhere, including their neighborhood.
