Three in custody after I-45 chase

May 03, 2007

A car with Florida license plates came back reported stolen early Thursday morning, but police found much more after a small chase.

The suspects were going south on I-45 before ending the chase on Clearwood. The driver jumped out and was caught after a short foot chase, and the other two suspects were taken into custody immediately.
Police said the suspects threw large amounts of marijuana out of the car, but they could not find it. Some marijuana and pills were found in the vehicle, police said.
One police officer hurt his hand while arresting the driver.
