Police in Sugar Land are looking for three men who kidnapped a woman as she came home early Friday.

It happened in the 2,000 block of Chattaroy Place around 2 a.m.

Police say the suspects approached the woman as she got out of her car.

They forced her back into the vehicle and took her to another location where she was sexually assaulted.

The suspects took off on foot after leaving the woman on Higway 6 and Old Richmond Road.

What are the descriptions of the 3 suspects. More information to the media would help locate the suspects and prevent another violent crime from happening. I take it they were not black. If so, it would have been mentioned.

they should catc those men who did that because that was wrong!!!

The media doesn’t like to give better descriptions, as it fears the politically correct crowd getting angry. They get the info, they just won’t use it. Even if it was posted, it wouldn’t be of much help anyway. An artist rendering might be of some help, but it would probably just look like the 3 guys who cut your yard. And let’s all take a minute to thank Alexis for her amazing insight.

They were Hispanics – that is why no description was given. (They only come here to work, you know.)

Don’t you think we should be more concerned about the crime than the race?

Great last comment, this is a very serious crime. The race of these perpertrators doesn’t concern me as much as what kind of insensitive cowards would do something like this!

Don’t you think it would be helpful towards solving this crime and bringing the perpetrators to justice if KHOU would report a more complete description of the suspects?

You know what, you people who consentrate so much on race, rather then the actual crime disgust me to no end. The pain of a crime is not any less painful depending on if it were caused by a black, white, hispanic, male or female. I only hope you will never experience it.

If you would read the papers time and time again, it’s described as the suspects being Hispanics. Many times, they are blacks and it’s not mentioned. If they are Hispanic, White or Black they should all pay. They give descriptions because it’s necessary. The reason they think they are black is an easy answer…..look at the prison. The majority are that of.

I looked at the map of this address. this is west of 59. It looked more like the meadows than Sugarland. I guess calling it Sugarland makes it more news worthy. It is not safe to be out at 2am in southwest houston. heck it aint aint safe anytime in sw houston. that area is a friggin war zone.

THAT A DAMN SHAME A WOMAN WAS RAPED AND ALL YOU CAN DO IS TALK ABOUT RACE . THATS THE PROBLEM WITH THE WORLD TODAY . TO MANY IGNORANT M/F’S OUT THERE . I GUESS THEY WOULD HAVE A PREFERENCE ON WHO THEIR DAUGHTER GOT RATHER BE RAPED BY .

R.P. said:

Bravo, Carlo. What an articulate addition to the discussion! The question posed by the first poster was why KHOU didn’t provide a more detailed description of these monsters so that maybe they could be apprehended before they victimize someone else. The Houston Chronicle didn’t have a problem with reporting that all 3 suspects were Hispanic. Why was that critical piece of information deleted from KHOU’s report of this crime? The only answer that makes sense is that they didn’t want to offend the tender sensibilities of brown supremacist groups such as LULAC and the National Council of La Raza (“the Race”….gee, that doesn’t sound very inclusive, now does it?) So, now we have 3 gang rapists walking around among us and all we know from KHOU is that they are men (what a surprise). Way to go, KHOU. I’m sure glad you didn’t offend anybody.

As an african american woman I speak for all women when I say – black, white, hispanic or asian – if they are violent rapist they should be caught, convicted and punished. However, I think the original comment was addressing how different the media handles crime when it is believed that the perpetrators were minority, that is a seperate issue from the crime itself
