Deputies are looking for two suspects who robbed a Stafford family on a walk early Thursday morning.

Police said the couple and their 5-year-old son were walking when two men demanded their money.
They complied, and the men left with their car keys, purse and wallet.
One suspect is described as approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build.
The other suspect was 5 feet 5 inches tall to 5 feet 6 inches tall with an average build. He was wearing a white T-shirt.
Both suspects appeared to be in their early 20’s.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-8477.

You guys need to provide more description than height and build. If this is all you have, you might as not even report it. You can report things in a detailed and short piece, but your lack of details leads me to believe your writers can’t write.

who takes their purse on a walk?

KJ said:

Typically, when the description is very vague, it means that the suspect(s) isn’t black. If they were black, that would’ve been mention 1st before height or anything else…just stupid!

Tasha said:

I know about a hundred people of all races that fit that description more info please.

well according to that description, I’m a suspect!

HELLO!? Where they black, white, hispanic, asian? What color shoes? Get away car?

You people need to stop letting interns write this crap.

I agree – I know of at least 200 people who fit this vague description –

WHY NOT JUST COME RIGHT OUT AND SAY THE SUSPECTS ARE WHITE. IF THEY WERE BLACK, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST THING MENTIONED.

I once called 911 to report that a man was standing in the middle of a street trying to hit carw with a club….
the 911 operator said “Is he Black or White?
I could not believe it. And on top of that…she was black herself..
shame that we as a society have been reduced to this..

Wow we have some dumb people on this planet.

To the lady who thought it was racist to ask if the man on the street trying to hit cars was black or white, well they do need that info in order to find the guy. I guess you think there is racism in the supermarket as well. Frosted Flakes or Coco Puffs. Uncle Ben’s or Wild / Dirty Rice. Green olives are in a Glass Jar, where are the black ones? Give me a break please.

It could go both ways, get over it.

I read this story because I live in Stafford and wanted to know the vicinity the robbery took place. I must say this is a VERY unprofessional story. Where’s all the info? Why even bother to report the story if you don’t have details!!! Come on “11”, is this the best you can do? I’m REALLY disappointed in this story.

Ill have to agree with the last comment.. i live in Stafford as well so i am a little concerned.. I would appreciate more info on the suspects, getaway car, vicinity of the incident..something!

I also opened this story because I am a concerned resident of Stafford. But I did not get any valuable information from this story. Please give more details in the future. Have a great day!

ADRIENNE CODY SHOULD GO BACK TO SCHOOL TO RE-LEARN REPORTING, WHERE IS THE WHO, WHAT, WHEN AND WHERE OF THE STORY? RACE IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR SIMPLY BECAUSE WE NEED TO KNOW WHO TO LOOK OUT FOR, I DON’T CARE IF THEY ARE RED, WHITE, BLUE, GREEN OR PURPLE BUT IF I KNEW WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR IT WOULD BE MUCH SIMPLER. AND I AGREE, WHY WOULD SOMEONE BRING THEIR PURSE WHEN OUT FOR A SIMPLE WALK? ANOTHER AGREEMENT IS THAT IF THE CRIMINALS WERE BLACK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST THING MENTIONED.

The reason they mention “being black” first, is because, they usually are.
Not a racist statement, just reality.

Not a very good description of the suspects, could they have been little green men?

i agree with everyone on this subject. i was stopped by a police officer while walking down the street with my son and searched. they were looking for a female between 5’5 and 5’7. lol. you got to be kidding me. if thats all a victim can describe to you in broad daylight thats corny. let me mention again i had a one year baby with me. but they actually searched me in fronot of everybody during a busty lunch hour. very embarrassing.

Lets see! 5 feet 5 inches tall to 5 feet 6 inches tall with an average build. He was wearing a white T-shirt.
Wow!! very descriptive! I know exactly who that person is.

Amy said:

Yes….more than likely, the guy or guys are black…let’s face it…blacks are in the news more than ever for commiting crimes….now if it is a serial killer, we all know already he is gonna be a Honky!!!! I say arm yourselves and be ready to fight back, cause it is a freakin’ war zone out there anymore.

C Barnes said:

ok Amy it seems like it usually is a black person because those are the only ones they give a description on.Yes Frank a crime is a crime. Laura, maybe the writer is doing what they’re told and to leave out race if they’re black. I live in this area and I watch over my shoulder all the time no matter the race. Strange and sick comes in all colors. No one can deny that.

Anonymous said:

Amen…Strange & sick knows no race..
We do live in a day & time that we have to watch out for ourselves and our family. However, I don’t really like the use of the word “honky” no more than the use of the “n” word.
Being in a diverse society, we do have to describe the suspect(s) by using race, as well as build, hair color, eyes, clothing, ect. In this case, if they were white, then say it, don’t just leave it for us to asume.
I have no problem throwing a white guy, black, brown, red, green, whatever in jail for harming innocent citizens.

A description is a description. We need to know what color the criminal is so we can catch HIM/HER. It’s not a racist question, it’s a matter of fact (what color a person is). Stop making it a racial issue. I think they need to ask this question everytime. Yes, it would be nice to know more info (especially where this happened). What street was it on. Was it in a park? More info please.

calrican said:

Let’s see: The couple was walking; Where? Cross streets would be nice to know. What time did this happen? Maybe I was in the neighborhood and would know something to say to the police. “The men left”: Did they walk away? Drive? How did they leave? One suspect had a white t-shirt, and the other? This article is completely useless information. I guess you need to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers to get the information.
