A “snatch n’ grab” robber has struck at least five Houston Walgreen’s stores over the past month.

Police say the suspect usually places an item on the counter as if to make a purchase. Then, when the clerk opens the register, he shoves them away and grabs as much cash as possible before fleeing the scene on foot.

The man is approximately 20 to 25 year old, 5’11” – 6’1″ tall, and around 180-200 pounds. He has reddish hair, blue eyes, and a lean build.

In one instance the suspect was wearing a red Astros ball cap and an orange Texas Longhorns tee shirt. At another time, he wore the red Astros cap, a tan sports jacket, tan khaki pants and white athletic shoes.

Police say the suspect keeps one hand in his waistband as if he has a weapon, but as yet has shown none.

This suspect is wanted for robbing the Walgreen’s stores on FM 1960, Mount Houston Road, Long Point Road in Spring Branch, Montrose Avenue, and on Smith Street in downtown Houston.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-8477 tips hotline or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the identification, arrest and/or charging of any suspect in this case. All tipsters remain anonymous.
