On Friday, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Baytown Police received a 911 call from a citizen in the 500 block of William Avenue regarding a robbery. Responding officers met with the 80-year-old victim who reported that a man had entered her unlocked apartment and assaulted her before taking her money. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Mark Linder,a self employed maintenance man from Baytown, was considered a suspect in the case. Linder was arrested on an outstanding local warrant and was transported to the Baytown Police Department.

Baytown Police Detectives interviewed Linder who confessed to the crime. Linder also informed Detectives that his 37-year-old nephew, Michael Polston was present during the robbery.

Police caught up with Polston who tried to flee before being apprehended. Both Polston and Linder were charged with Aggravated Robbery.
