RV Log Monday, May 5, 2008 – MONUMENT VALLEY

Wow. I have some catching up to do!

Monument Valley. You know, you just have to see it for yourself. Words certainly do not do it justice, and most certainly, mine will not.

When I arrived I saw Gerardo taking it all in…..

RV Log Payson & Camp Verde

Robin Fancher Carter, 3TV

Want to fish? Want to Rodeo? Payson is the place to be! Set under the Mogollon Rim, we really enjoyed the town and all of its ammenities. No pies this day, but plenty of flashbacks to that infamous moment. Is Scott really strutting around a little? Quite possibly.

The air was cool. There was frost on the ground by the time we got the show started. Thank goodness for the portable propane heaters that were brought along. Tara…

RV Log Cave Creek

Robin Fancher Carter, 3TV

Road Trip 2008 began as we rolled into Cave Creek on Sunday afternoon in this year’s colorful RV. It’s a Safari “Simba.” I really like the name Simba so I think that’s the name I will stick with. It’s symbolic of the wild, crazy and unpredictability of GMAZ road trip.

Simba drives beautifully and is much bigger than last year’s RV. Happy camper here! Did not start off the trip with any flooding like last year, thank goodness!

RV Log Crown King

6:20 AM Tue, Apr 08, 2008 |
Robin Fancher Carter, 3TV

We stopped in Cleator, which is not much more than the saloon, for a break and to warm up by the wood stove. A very friendly and welcome group of residents. The John Wayne cut-out at…

Well, it is the end of Day 2 of the Good Morning Arizona Road Trip and besides being a little tired, the trip has been good.

We are so lucky to live in this incredible state. Where else can you go from desert, to red rocks to high mountain magic in a matter of hours?
I just finished another series of my favorite assignments this past week. We call them Arizona Family Adventures, three nights of taking you folks to some of my most loved spots. This time, we centered on day trips from the valley, because we know everybody is busy, making it hard to take thr…

Apache Junction..

I believe The towns submit requests. We haven’t been to the same place twice so I would recommend getting the town to put in for next year’s draw. Our Road Trip is usually the 1st 2 weeks of May, but planning will begin soon…
