Police: Man threatens Pearland employees with box cutter
November 21, 2007
Employees of a Pearland Best Buy were threatened with a razor blade and box cutter Nov. 15 by a robbery suspect, police said.
Derek Alan Young was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department said he was trying to steal al Sony PS3 Bluetooth headset, but he was caught on surveillance cameras.
When employees approached him, deputies said that’s when he got out his weapons. But when Young tried to run out the door, another employee disarmed him.
Someone jotted down his license plate, which led to his arrest.
