Man charged in Brazoria County cab driver’s death

A man is charged with murdering a Brazoria County cab driver.

Jackson Martinez, 19, was arrested by Pearland police Sunday on unrelated charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon and possession of marijuana.
Police said while in custody, Martinez confessed to shooting 30-year-old Alassane Toure to death Sunday.
It allegedly happened after the cabbie dropped Martinez off at a home in Brookside Village.
No word on a possible motive.
