A man who told his family he’d killed his girlfriend was in custody Tuesday after jumping into the water off the Galveston Seawall.

Lonnie Williams reportedly called his family Tuesday morning, saying he’d killed his girlfriend and was going to kill himself.
The family called Galveston police, who found Williams at 15th and Seawall around 9:50 a.m.
When the officers approached him, Williams jumped into the water.
Police fished him out safely and took him back to Houston.
Williams is suspected of stabbing his girlfriend in the Clayton Homes Housing Project.
Police were called to a unit in the complex, where they found a woman’s body.
Neighbors said a woman and her four children lived in the unit.

I know this man who just got out of jail after 10 years, and I personally think that the police officer who was called to the apartment complex about a month ago after he had beat her up for the same reason is partially responsible. because when she called police and they came out the officer made a report of no sign of abuse and the guy was let go. he was still on probation for a robbery he done 10 years ago.and if the report had shown different he would have been locked up again.
