Free technique class from Williams-Sonoma
Each technique class offers how-to demonstrations, innovative recipes and delicious samplings of the completed dishes. It’s FREE. Space is limited, so please call or visit your local Williams-Sonoma store to sign up.

The classes are held Sunday at the SouthPark location from 12-1 and Saturday from 11-12 at the Birkdale Village location. Topics for April include Best of Breakfast, Healthy Cooking, Cooking for Kids and Frittatas, Stratas and more.

Free community exhibit at JCSU

The James B. Duke Memorial Library at Johnson C. Smith University is hosting the “Too Black, Too Fast” exhibit. The exhibit is a rich collection of paintings and sculptures depicting black jockeys racing, training and individual portraits. The exhibit features the breathtaking paintings of renowned Visual Artist and Tennessee State Professor Michael McBride and sculptures of Atlanta based-former NFL player turned sculptor George Nock. The exhibit will be on display until April 17, 2009.
