Recently by Jeff McShanCinco Ranch homeowner Nathaniel Brooks couldn’t believe what he saw when he woke up early Thursday morning. As he went to feed his cats he noticed the side door to the garage was open. Inside were two suspects going through his wife’s vehicle. Brooks immediately retrieved his 12-gauge shotgun. He told 11 News Reporter Kevin Reece “and I walked out of the house and I went around and confronted those guys on the side of the house.” Brooks went on to say, “so I aimed at him and said you sneeze you’re dead man, and I called the other guy out of the garage.” Fort Bend County Deputies arrived a short time later and sai… Recently we have been reporting on a number copper thefts. If you’ve been watching 11 News, you have no doubt seen the stories. Thieves have been tearing up air conditioning units that sit outside businesses and destroying them to get to the copper. The copper is then taken to scrap metal yards and traded in for just a few bucks. Police suspect that many of these thieves are just supporting a drug habit and are looking for a quick buck to fulfill their needs. Well sadly, 11 News found out the hard way, that these copper thieves may now be targeting air conditioners outside homes. A coworker, who just had a new air … Tonight on 11 News at 10, I will be visiting with Leon Rudd about HPD’s new pursuit policy. Rudd is the father of Rikki Sanchez, a young woman who was killed in an automobile accident in March. A suspect fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle ran a stop sign and hit the SUV she was driving. She died instantly. Sanchez is the mother of 2 small children. It was certainly a tragedy. Rudd has hired attorney Loren Klitsas and plans to file a lawsuit against the City of Houston this week.
