I have taken up the sport of golf in 2008 and to this point am still pretty bad! Hitting a ball of the club face is my biggest challenge. I like to stretch myself and not be satisfied doing the same old things, so golf in 2008 is my project….I hope to be a better player a year from now..I’ll keep you posted…

If the Suns don’t win an NBA title this season you can pretty much kiss goodbye the current roster as its constructed. Team President Steve Kerr has five title rings in his jewerly box and would like to see more of a commitment to defense than this years team has shown(or for that matter the last five Suns teams). No surprise if they blow up the roster after this season(and that includes trading Amare AND Shawn)

The tip of the iceberg is where we are in relation to the “steriod era” in major league baseball. It should come as no surprise when a former major league player from the early 2000’s is linked to taking a foriegn substance. My stance on this subject has been to blame major league baseball for not having testing or lists of banned substances until it was too late. I believe Matt WIlliams claim that he he used HGH on the advice of a doctor to…

At the end of the day Phoenix is still a Suns town. Until the Cardinals go deep into the playoffs the Suns will continue to be the team of record….In most cities the NFL team rule the roost, but that isn’t the case here.
I’m thinking about heading to Eugene, Oregon this week for the Arizona State game, but there’s another big story in town Sunday night. Phoenix sports mogul Jerry Colangelo will be inducted into the Suns Ring of Honor….

Going to Denver with Diamondbacks

No matter how the NLCS shapes up here in Phoenix I am very much looking forward to seeing how games 3,4 and 5 play out at spacious Coors Field in Denver.
When I broadcast Diamondback games on KTAR Radio back in 2000 I remember doing a game up there that the Rockies won by something like 19-2. It was a painful broadcast because the game was so ugly, but what I remember more than the outcome was how the Rockies used the ballpark to their …

Growing up in San Diego County I never dreamed that I would become a tourist to the area I called “home”.
Spent the last week laying on the beach at Carlsbad. Body surfing, deep sea fishing, and just hanging out with the family.
One night my two childhood friends came over for dinner with my wife and I. We swapped stories about growing up in a quieter time. The beaches weren’t crowded when we grew up except for the Zonies that wou…

Day after the Suns season ended

Jerry Colangelo walked by me in the tunnel towards the Suns locker room moments after the season came to an end against the Spurs. It also marked the run of Colangelo who will step back from the organization..It was not the way a man of his class should go out….The NBA didn’t back him with the Amare and Boris suspensions and that is too bad considering all that he gave to commish Stern.

In order to become the team that goes to the NB…

Amares’ comments about the Spurs being a dirty team are the front page and lead story on the news coming into tonights game three…
This city is jacked up about their team! There are banners and signs throughout the city supporting the Spurs..Should be a rowdy atmosphere tonight, which I like!!

nash spills blood in game one

San Antonio left the Suns bloodied and dazed in game one, but what struck me more than Steve Nash’ nose being gashed open was Nash’ very strong comments about his teammates effort after the game.
“Sometimes we lack a little energy and a little desperation” but there’s more,,,
“we just kind of relax at times and that is unexceptable”…..
You would think that would get the attention of his teammates….Nash isn’t getting any …
