Houston police released a list Wednesday of the top ten makes of vehicles stolen during July.
Topping the list were Ford trucks, with 240 taken.
Dodge trucks came in second, with 176 thefts.
Honda cars (specifically Civics and Accords) were third, accounting for 145 thefts.
Chevrolet made two appearances on the list, with trucks at No. 4 and cars at No. 8. There were 138 stolen Chevy trucks and 45 stolen Chevy cars.
Ford cars accounted for 89 of the thefts, bringing them to the fifth spot on the list.
Dodge cars – No. 6 on the list—were stolen 86 times, most often Intrepids.
Toyota cars including the Camry and Corolla took the seventh spot with 57 thefts.
Chrysler cars were ninth on the list, with 41 stolen.
GMC vehicles wrapped up the tenth spot for July, with 38 thefts reported.
