HPD officers use Taser on teen

A 16-year-old boy is in Houston police custody after a burglary at a liquor store near downtown.

Around 4 a.m., the alarm went off at the store, alerting police to the location. An HPD officer arrived and saw two men running from the store down Holmes.
The two suspects split up, and one of them ran toward the Loop. Then one suspect turned around, and police said it seemed like he was going to fight the officer.
That’s when the Taser was used to take him into custody.
All that was missing from the store were a few packs of cigarettes. The other suspect is not in custody.

Perhaps if we stop pampering criminals of any age, we may be able to curb some of the violence. And,if drugs or weapons involved – max punishment. It may cost a few tax dollars to put the criminals in jail, but that is cheaper than human life or peoples property getting stolen.
I just get sick when I hear “oh he is or was a good boy/girl…” yet the person killed, raped or created some heinous crime.

I believe if you do a crime, you should get some kind of time in jail. I am so sick of these attorneys with plea bargains. If they are teenagers and do something, send them to jail. That’s why we have so much crime because we don’t do anything to them to criminals. I think if you do a crime and you are sentence to 30 years, let them spend 30 years in jail and have no such thing as out on good behavior. We are too soft. We may be a free country, but we are not the smartest country.

I completely agree. Stronger punishments, and sticking to the puinshment for once. I’m so tired of the “temporary insanity plea” give me a break, if you know its wrong and you do it anyway, then your sane enough to go to jail. people would think twice about breaking laws if lawyers would shut up and let the law fall where it may. none of this “well it’s only your first murder…”

and if they have to sit in jail for more then 25 years, then let them do 25 then send them to the chair or leathal injection. I can think of better things to do with tax payers money.
