HOUSTON–Houston Police Chief Harold Hurtt and officers gathered Tuesday to announce an initiative to reduce crime all over our area. The goal is to cut violent crime by 10 percent. In all, six police districts are participating in the endeavor to make Houstonians safer. They include: The initiative as announced even though an HPD report revealed that overall crime in Houston is down 7.2 percent though July of this year. |
