Whether you prefer classical or blues, an intimate setting or wide open spaces, you’ll have no problem filling your week with free music.

Tuesday, 7:30PM, Unitarian Universalist Church of Charlotte hosts a trio of piano, violin, and cello playing pieces by Mozart, Hurlstone & Pizzetti.

Thursday, 5PM, Free music at Pavilion at EpiCentre. The band this week is Same As It Ever Was, a Talking Heads tribute band.

Thursday, 5:30PM, Summer Concert Series at University Place. This week: SwampDaWamp (rock/country/blues.)

Thursday, 7PM, Subaru River Jam at U.S. National Whitewater Center. This week: Thom Crumpton Trio (blues). There is also free music there on Saturday. Both days, all you have to pay for is parking ($5.) And you get to watch the rafters wipe out on the rapids.

Friday, 7PM, Fountain Plaza at Stonecrest, Uncommon Jazz performs. Saturday, too.

Friday, 7PM, Village Green in Blakeney, Kimberly Carper performs. Saturday too.

Saturday, 5PM, Pura Vida, Perry Fowler performs folk music in the back room.
