The search is on for two men who left a Fort Bend County resident badly hurt.

The shooting occurred in the Tara Subdivision in the 100 block of Shiloh Dr. in Richmond Tuesday night.

Reports from the scene reveal that the two victims arrived home after attending a social gathering when they saw two unknown men standing on the street corner near their home.

The female victim went inside her home and then went outside to look for her husband when he didn’t follow.

That’s when, deputies say, the woman saw her husband struggling with the two suspects.

The woman’s husband told his wife to go back inside the home. She did and heard several gunshots before calling 911.

The injured man was taken to Oak Bend Hospital. He suffered wounds to the lower part of his body and is in critical condition.

Investigators don’t believe this is a random act of violence.

If you know anything about this crime call the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at (281) 341-4665 or Ft. Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).

All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
