Pasadena police are trying to find the person who fatally stabbed an elderly man.

On Tuesday morning, a neighbor found Eugene Palma’s body lying in the driveway of his home in the 2800 block of Dewberry.

The 75-year-old was the owner of Gene’s Better Times Bar which is just a few blocks away.

Investigators are still searching for a motive to the crime.

My family has had the privilege of knowing the Palma’s for 20yrs. “Pappa Gene” sponsored his granddaughter’s t-ball team the “Blue Jays” back in the 80’s” (we never won a game but Gene was there for each and every game cheering the kids on!). That’s just the kind of man he was. How could someone do something so cruel to this man and his family? The mother stated her child could never do something like this, well, they can and they do!! What kind of morals does this mother have and what morals has this mother taught her children and the other mother the same?? Where they taught , and did they teach that it’s ok to take a life, I think not. Each and every person (adult or child) is responsible for his/her own actions; you can’t blame others for your actions. I hope that justice is served to this woman and her children. An eye for an eye, so it’s said in the bible.
