It started at 10:45 p.m. Saturday when Deputy Constable Juan Contreras responded to a call at 10200 Kingspoint.
Police said he saw a car involved in a robbery from Friday, so he tried to stop it, but Arrington Floyd Burley took off.
Burley lost control of his vehicle and went into a ditch, and that’s when Contreras told him to stop. Police said Burley had a pistol in his hand and was ignoring commands, so Contreras shot at him. Burley was not hurt, but dropped his weapon and ran.
He was arrested a short time later and faces aggravated robbery and kidnapping charges.
