Patients who are battling cancer at M.D. Anderson’s famed cancer center, have a new fight on their hands. Now they have to battle identity thieves. Investigators said a clerk at the cancer center accessed patients’ files and then applied for loans online using that information. A Houston cancer patient alerted authorities to the thefts after getting a call from a New Jersey bank about a $10,000 loan. |
