Brothers convicted of stealing Katrina donations
June 14, 2007
A federal jury has convicted two Houston brothers of fraud and conspiracy for taking donations meant for Hurricane Katrina victims.
Steven and Bartholomew Stephens set up a fake Salvation Army Web site to solicit the donations.
People sent them almost $50,000.
The brothers face up to seven years in prison when sentenced in September.
