Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 6900 East Orem about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to police, 31-year-old Daniel Dwayne Wheeler was found under a bridge near East Orem and Mykawa by someone walking their dog. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Wheeler’s wife reported him missing since he had not been seen Friday at a restaurant at West Oaks Mall. He was last seen driving a blue 1999 Ford Expedition with Texas license plate number 82N-WW8. The vehicle has not been located.
