HOUSTON — A body was found in the 8000 block of Sandspoint Tuesday morning.

That’s near Sharpstown Mall in southwest Houston.

Police said passersby called early in the morning to report a body lying in the middle of the road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they realized the person had been shot to death.

The body has yet to be identified.
