With the down economy, everyone is looking for ways to save money. In fact, postings on Craig’s List are up 100 percent since January. Bartering is back and the best place to go is online. “If you don’t go to the Internet you’re missing out on potentially millions of opportunities,” said Farnoosh Torabi, thestreet.com, in an interview with Matt Lauer. Torabi says these are the best sites for bartering:
Torabi says the best place to start bartering is with a group of friends or family. Many are going to web sites like swapstyle.com or dignswap.com to exchange clothing. If you’re going to barter, Torabi says you need to be specific on what you want or what you can offer. You also need to keep records and file with the IRS. |
